I like to paint nature in all her moods. My aim is to convey the feeling of a place, to draw the viewer in, in order to create a tangible visceral connection.

The beautiful colours and shapes found in the landscape, the ever changing skies and the ancient forests and wild coastline where I live all provide me with a feast of inspiration.

I like to totally immerse myself in my environment becoming part of that place, wherever it is - the sea, the sky, the woods - letting it speak to my heart and my emotions. It is a collaborative process.

My favourite medium is oil. I love the creamy texture of oil paint. Often I’ll mix it with cold wax to enhance the textural effects in my landscapes and seascapes.
